  1. Flutter had its Investor Day on September 25th in NYC. Reassuring event for their investors, they project the global sports betting and gaming market around $370bn in the coming years. They also released their active users (32M worldwide) and disclosed that 60% of the players acquired in 2018 were still active today.

  1. Rightlander launched Trackback to help operators target traffic sources (from which affiliates and/or what country). Might be a sign that Operators are more and more looking for transparency…?
  2. Magneu is for sale said Viktor Atanasovski, its CEO on LinkedIn. The affiliates is drowning in debts but is reported to make “6 figures in revenues”, thanks to its assets in Brazil and in UK.
  3. Catena Media is restructuring its leadership team, with 4 new Directors Roles : Director of SEO, Director of Engineering, Director of Marketing and Director of Data & Analytics. The affiliates is in rough conditions after having sold all its European assets and aiming for the US.

M&A Moves

  1. Revpanda acquired Leetz Media to build the ultime traffic powerhouse. The amount was not disclosed. It allows Revpanda to strengthen its presence in Europe, North America & India thanks to Leetz’s portfolio.
  2. FDJ moves forward with the acquisition of Kindred Group after having received the approval from the french competition authority. They’re now waiting for the final approval of Kindred Group shareholders. Upon their approval, FDJ would become one of the biggest european operator. Acquisition should be proceeded early October.
  3. Sportingtech partners with 23:59, the event software. Operators will have now the opportunity to personalize their offering with the major events worldwide, faster. This partnership is supposed to bring an advantage to SportingTech in the Brazilian market, that the provider is aiming strongly.
  4. The New York State Gaming Commission approved Penn Interactive’s acquisition of Wynn Interactive. ESPN Bet went live on friday hould be live by the end of the week of September 23rd.

North Carolina Bettors may soon have new betting options available. The North Carolina State Lottery Commission announced its sports betting committee unanimously approved a notice of proposed pari-mutuel rule-making that also gives the staff the ability to move forward with the procedures.

Australia about to regulate lootboxes and simulated gambling games. The purpose is to enhance control towards console and game developpers in order to make sure young players are not incitated to play.

The governement targets offshore gambling platforms. All offshore platforms are now banned and the government is currently assessing the impact in the economy.

Brazil

  1. The SENACON gave 10 days to Samsung, LG, Motorola, TCL, ASUS, Semp, Positivo & Multilaser to send explanations on the reasons why gambling apps were pre-installed on newly sold devices.
  2. ANJL supports ban of sites that have not applied for a license. Starting October 1st, unlicensed operators could still apply.
